Opened in 2001, run by a local nice Tibetan family, the Kyichu Hotel is situated between the sacred Jokhang Temple in Barkhor Square, and the famed World Heritage Potala Palace.

The Kyichu Hotel is purely Tibetan style hotel which boasts 62 cozy guest rooms, including single room, standard room and suite. And all rooms were decorated by traditional Tibetan family style. From the window, you can enjoy the beautiful garden view.

As for dining, there is a restaurant at the first floor which offers local dishes and other style food. Its indoor/outdoor Kyichu Garden Restaurant with umbrella tables on a spacious green courtyard lawn serves a wide selection of Continental, North Indian Tandoori, Nepalese and Tibetan dishes prepared by experienced Tibetan and Nepalese chefs. You can also have a relaxing nursing of drink or a pot of tea in the garden.

Apart from these, the hotel also provides facilities and services such as business center, ticket booking, medical service, laundry service and so on.

Location and Transportation

The Kyichu Hotel is close to the Shenli Time Square, one street far to the Potala Palace, where is easy to get to throught about 10 minutes walking. The Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street is much closer within hundreds meters away, costing 7mins' walking or so.

Lhasa Gonggar International Airport is about 60km away, for 1h diriving by taxi. And the Lhasa Railway Station is about 10km to the hotel, which needs driving for 20 minutes. Besides, you can take advantage of the conveninet car service from your travel agency.
